Three Band Rock Concert

Three Band Rock Concert Set Dec. 29

The Poncan Theatre is winding up the year with a triple rock concert on Saturday, Dec. 29, at 8 p.m. The concert billed as Rock Eclipse will feature three area rock bands, Rock 6X, Mother Kelly, and Prezence. All three bands are made up of veteran musicians who have spent their lives playing the music they love — classic rock.

"This is going to be one powerhouse night at the Poncan," stated Dave May, executive director of the Poncan Theatre. "These guys are pumped up to bring the crowd a night of rock and roll the whole town will be talking about. A lot of these musicians have years of experience in thrilling audiences with the kind of music that made Rock n' Roll famous. The combined playing experience for these guys is easily over 400 years! That in itself is incredible to me.

"We've wanted to have a big rock concert like this at The Poncan for a long time. I really hope the public comes out to support it so we can keep the Poncan rockin'! Of course we will have plenty of ice cold beer available, so come out and party at the Poncan"

The bands play a wide variety of rock music including, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Ted Nugent, Poison, Judas Priest, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Alice In Chains, Kansas, The Doobie Brothers, and many more.

Tickets are on sale at the Poncan Theatre for $8 tax included. The box office, located at 104 E. Grand, is open Monday through Friday 10 to 5 and can be reached at 765-0943. Visa and Master Card are accepted.
